Having young children, I find myself having Disney philosophy moments often. In the animated movie Robots, the company owner Mr. Bigwell told a young inspiring inventor to “find a need and fix it.” Well, one of the limits in our industry is the need to have good machines, designed correctly at an affordable price. I feel lucky to have made such good relationships in the industry the last 30 years and am excited to be part of the new exercise machine company called Imagine.

Many of you have been using the first prototypes now for a month or so and we can't wait until the final models are ready to roll off the production line. The concept and design inspiration is the A, B, Cs of exercise. Any Age, Any Body, Any Condition.

I asked my friend and partner Jeff Turner, who introduced me to Super Slow HIT training, sold me my first line of Nautilus almost 27 years ago and is the driving force behind Imagine strength, he said it best,

"After growing up on Arthur Jones and Darden teachings about proper HIT training and working at Nautilus the tide shifted from safe, effective and efficient exercise to high volume speed training. At this time having worked for Nautilus for 11 years I saw the writing on the wall. Even Nautilus became enamored with cardio equipment, multiple set high volume training, just to make a buck.

I left Nautilus and decided to build HIT training studios designed around age defying exercise. Not many years later the exercise companies had bought into free-weights and CrossFit tools instead of proper training tools and there was a huge void. That is when, even though told by a couple of my mentors that I wouldn't be able too, I set out to build a new, unique line of exercise equipment around what Arthur had taught. In fact, I partnered with my friend and Arthur confidant, Clay Steffee, to design equipment using Jones's principles that I had used for 38 years. Drawing from Arthur and others like Dr. Darden, Ken Hutchins, Jim Flanagan and Dr. Wayne Westcott, Clay and I set in motion Imagine Strength. Clay of course was instrumental in the design of Nautilus and Medx with Arthur. With Clay on board, we have the proper team in place to bring about what we hope is the Re-Imagining of proper brief HIT to a whole new generation. We see private studios teach good exercise in proper environments as the wave of the future. We want to be the exercise built around the principle of real exercise for all."
